Cleve Mesidor is Executive Director of Blockchain Foundation. She is also Founder of butterscotch Media, a Forbes Contributor, and part of Money20/20's RiseUp network. Previously, she was a Policy Advisor to Blockchain Association. A Washington insider, Cleve served in the Obama Administration and as a senior staffer in Congress.

Cleve attended the 2026 Annual Meeting of the World Economic Forum in Davos as part of the Global Blockchain Business Council's Blockchain Central delegation. 

A web3 expert working in crypto for almost a decade, she has been profiled in NPR's Morning Edition, Bloomberg, POLITICO, CNBC, ABC, PBS, NY Times, Washington Post, TIME. She was also featured in the PBS Documentary, “CRYPTO DECODED”, as well as the Coinbase documentary, “COIN: A Founder's Story.” Cleve is a respected industry leader and regularly headlines national conferences, including Money20/20, DC Fintech Week, SXSW, CES, and others. On the global stage, she has spoken at Web3 and DeFi forums in Switzerland, Abu Dhabi, Toronto, Amsterdam, Haiti, Bahamas, Barbados.

Cleve has been prominently recognized for her leadership: "2025 Most Inspirational Women in Web3 and AI" by Unstoppable Domains' Women of Web3; "Top 20 Women in Crypto & Web3 to Follow in 2025" by SheCrypto; “2025 Women Shaping the Future of Fintech & Digital Asset Policy” by the DC Mayor’s Office on Women’s Policy and Initiatives and DC DISB; "2024 Inspiring Fintech Female" by NYC Fintech Women. 

To advance bipartisanship and grow the crypto ecosystem, Cleve co-hosts an annual blockchain event on Martha's Vineyard each August, and an annual Congressional Briefing of Web3 Women in DC each fall.

Cleve is author of “THE CLEVOLUTION: My Quest for Justice in Politics & Crypto.” She earned a Master of Arts degree from Howard University and started her career in broadcasting at CNN's Washington Bureau.
